Lyrics

“Did you see that?”
“The woman in the painting?”
“She turned her head.”
“That’s impossible.”
“Then why is she looking at us?”

Midnight hanging on the walls,
Golden saints and painted halls.
Every smile was fixed in place,
Every century held its breath.
Then a red dress crossed the blue.
One small shadow split in two.
A marble hand began to rise.
Someone blinked behind the eyes.

No one spoke.
The clocks ran wrong.
Something quiet had waited too long.

The room refused to stay still.
Every wall began to breathe.
Colors climbed out of their corners,
Shadows slipped beneath our feet.
If the impossible is calling,
Don’t pretend you never knew.
When the room refuses stillness,
Maybe you should move there too.

Move.
Move.
The whole room moves.

Frames leaned forward from the wall.
Painted birds escaped the hall.
Velvet ropes became red roads.
Golden doors forgot they closed.
Then the staircase curved away,
Leading somewhere past today.
Every portrait watched us choose:
Stand and stare, or follow through.

No more signs.
No perfect map.
Sometimes wonder doesn’t ask.

The room refused to stay still.
Every wall began to breathe.
Colors climbed out of their corners,
Shadows slipped beneath our feet.
If the impossible is calling,
Don’t pretend you never knew.
When the room refuses stillness,
Maybe you should move there too.

We spend so long naming things
We forget to let them change.
We call a doorway dangerous
Just because it looks strange.

Then one painted hand reached out.
I stopped asking what was allowed.

The room refused to stay still.
Every ceiling opened wide.
All the colors left their borders,
All the statues came alive.
If the impossible is calling,
There is nothing left to prove.
When the whole world starts becoming,
You were made to become too.

“Where did she go?”
“Outside the painting.”
“And us?”
“Not far behind.”
